The first of two Sprint Cup events at Bristol, the Food City 500 brings short track racing to the circuit for the first time each season.
The eighth largest sporting venue in the world, Bristol Motor Speedway sits in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Tennessee and hosts two Sprint Cup Series events each year. Opened in 1961, Bristol's capacity is just over 165,000 and has earned the nickname "Thunder Valley." One of the smallest tracks on the NASCAR circuit at just .53 miles, it provides some of the best views in the sport.
