ATLANTA – PrimeSport, the leader in providing hospitality and premium experiences to the biggest sports, music and entertainment events in the world, today announced it has hired Tim Brosnan to be its Executive Chairman and CEO. Brosnan will be responsible for all day-to-day management decisions and for setting the long-term strategy and vision for the company.
As one of the most influential people in sports business, Tim Brosnan brings decades of sports business expertise to the PrimeSport team. Beginning his career in sports at Major League Baseball in 1991 as Vice President, Business Affairs, Brosnan was named as President and CEO just two years later at MLB International. Brosnan was subsequently promoted to oversee all worldwide business functions including Broadcasting and Media Rights, Licensing, Corporate Sales, Marketing, Special Events, MLB Charities and MLB Productions as the Executive Vice President, Business/President and CEO of MLB Enterprises.
Brosnan was the key force behind many of baseball’s innovative business initiatives, as he spearheaded negotiations for all national media rights at MLB, including the largest non-television media deal at that time with XM Radio and the development and launch of MLB Network, the most successful launch ever in the cable television business. In all, the businesses Brosnan managed exceeded $1.4 billion in revenues in 2014 with retail sales exceeding $4 billion worldwide. Brosnan was among the three finalists for the Commissioner of Baseball position.
