Track Info

9300 Cherry Avenue, Fontana, CA 92335

Formerly known as California Speedway, Auto Club Speedway opened in 1997 in Fontana, California. The two-mile, low banked track has a seating capacity of 68,000 and is home to the annual Auto Club 400. In 2003 the installation of lights at the track was approved by the San Bernardino County Planning Commission and the first “under the lights” race was held in 2004 for the Monster Energy Cup Series. In addition to the Speedway Oval, Auto Club Speedway contains a Sports Car Course, a Motorcycle Course, and a Test Circuit. Due to its California location, the Speedway has been featured in several movies including Herbie: Fully Loaded, Cars, and The Bucket List. Tony Stewart holds the course records at Auto Club Speedway in both the Monster Energy Cup Series 400 mile race and the Xfinity Series 300 mile race. Driver Jimmie Johnson has the most overall success at the track with 6 wins and 13 top 5 finishes.
