Get the lay of the land and see what Homestead-Miami Speedway has to offer.
In 1992 Ralph Sanchez had the idea of building a speedway in Homestead to help revitalize the area after the damage incurred by Hurricane Andrew. Three years later Homestead-Miami Speedway was opened with the running of the Jiffy Lube Miami 300 on November 5, 1995 when Dale Jarrett became the first to take the winners circle at Homestead. In 2002, Homestead-Miami Speedway hosted Ford Championship Weekend for the first time concluding each year on the NASCAR schedule of premier racing events. Ford Championship Weekend would return to Homestead in 2005, but this time it would be run under the lights for the first time at Homestead. Greg Biffle and Tony Stewart are tied for the most wins at Homestead with three top finishes each. Jeff Gordon holds the most top five finishes with seven. Currently the Homestead-Miami Speedway is home to the Ford Ecoboost 200, 300, and 400 events.
