Track Info

Long Pond Road & Andretti Road, Blakeslee, PA 18610

One of the only family owned tracks in NASCAR, Pocono Raceway has been home to the Monster Energy Cup Series since 1971. Known for its strange triangle shaped configuration, Pocono has earned the nickname "Tricky Triangle." Pocono Raceway is also the "greenest" track on the NASCAR circuit, becoming the largest solar powered sports facility in the world when it installed a 25 acre solar farm in 2010. Famous races at Pocono include the inaugural Pocono 500, won by Richard Petty, AJ Foyt’s final IndyCar victory, and Jeff Gordon’s 84th NASCAR Monster Cup Series win. In 2012, Hurricane Sandy caused damage to the power systems and towers at Pocono Raceway, but the track itself did not suffer significant damage and racing continued as normal in 2013 including the first IndyCar race at Pocono since 1989. Jeff Gordon is the most successful driver at Pocono with 6 victories in 20 top 5 finishes.
